Avicennia Marina, the Gray Mangrove, grows thickly along the banks of the waterway near my home on Awabakal Country in New South Wales. This colour is my interpretation of the rich olive green and yellow undertones of their evergreen leaves. Mangroves are an invaluable part of the marine ecosystem, and freely provide shelter for fish and shellfish as well as filtration, flood protection, and carbon sequestration services. They are also really lovely to stroll alongside.
While mangroves are used in traditional dye practices, they are a protected species in NSW and are not actually used in creation of this colour.
Greens are exceptionally hard for me to photograph. I find that I often need to have another colour in the picture to accurately show the green. As such, I've offered a few shots of this colourway with others in my range. Avicennia is the lower colour in each photo where more than one is pictured.
The lighter, more silvery green is Silver Sage. The dark purple/gray is Black Iris, the mauve/brown colour is Mulberry, and the peachy beauty is Rose Gold.

Suggested Uses
This DK weight yarn is good for mid-weight garments such as heavier tees, pullovers, vests, or cardigans.
The cotton-like hand of the Eri silk means it will drape less than a reeled silk fibre (Mulberry silk).
The Eri silk is less elastic than wool, but still cables well with strong stitch definition.
Please consider before you buy
This is an artisan product, brought to life in small batches at every step of production. Each skein is utterly unique, rich with nuance and character arising from both the fibre and the natural dyes.
Alternate by row or round when using multiple skeins. Repeatability between dye lots cannot be guaranteed.
Please also understand that the colour you see on your screen may not exactly match what you seeon the yarn in real life. I've made every effort to capture colour as true to what I see when I take the picture, and have made some minimal adjustments to photos when necessary.
I highly recommend you purchase at least as much yarn as required for your project. I always suggest purchasing a "safety skein" - one more than you think you might need - because finishing a project should be a joyful experience, not worrying that you're going to run out of yarn.
